About the Event
Thrivefest North
For more than 10 years, Thrivefest North – the Festival for Freedom – has provided a gathering of hope and inspiration to the Midwest region. This year’s event will be held July 31 – August 1 at the Stutsman County Fairgrounds in Jamestown, ND and will feature 2 days of family-friendly entertainment. Proceeds from the festival support the Rising Hope Foundation. Rising Hope Foundation’s mission is to provide shelter and healing while igniting hope and restoration to those freed from the abuses of human trafficking.
David Leckie, Co-Founder of Rising Hope Foundation
David Leckie is CEO of Thrive Productions Group and Co-Founder of Rising Hope Foundation. In operating a trucking company for several years and seeing firsthand the devastation of Human Trafficking in truck stops and businesses my desire to make an impact in the lives of these victims grew. I knew at that point there was a larger plan, so I made a change and became a Concert Promoter which led to the desire to start a nonprofit with my wife Vicki called Rising Hope Foundation. My prayerful desire is to be a small part of a larger team of passionate individuals that together can continue build safe housing for young girls to give them Hope and Freedom they truly deserve.
The Freedom Ranch
Rising Hope has built the first Freedom Ranch in the upper Midwest. The Freedom Ranch is a safe home where young girls rescued from the abuses of human trafficking can begin the healing process with the help of trained counselors, educators, and health care professionals. The ranch offers education, life skills training, and equine therapy to young girls ages 12 to 17. One by one we can work together to bring hope and healing to survivors of human trafficking.
